Following CDC recommendations to implement social distancing in areas with the potential for community transmission, all Oswegrow programs originally scheduled for March and April have been postponed. Look for announcements on our Facebook page for future dates. 

You may have a goal of leaving your current job to start your own business, but you aren’t sure the best way to get started. One of the easiest ways to transition is to start your new business as a side gig to ramp up your income and make the transition seamless. Presenter Marie Herman will share the pros and cons of doing this and provide insight into how to get started – identifying your business opportunities, simple actions to take to get started, and pitfalls to avoid. Get some guidance on how to develop a strategic plan for yourself to transition from your J-O-B to being the B-O-S-S!

About the presenter:

Marie Herman CAP, OM, ACS, MOSM is the owner of MRH Enterprises LLC, which provides speaking services, writing, training, consulting, private tutoring, and more. Ms. Herman conducts seminars and workshops around the world, and previously supported the chief technology officer of the Fermi National Accelerator Lab and the chairman emeritus of ServiceMaster. She leads online study groups for a variety of certification programs, including the Certified Administrative Professional exam and the Microsoft Office Specialist Master program. She also offers regular webinars on advanced computer topics and professional and career development.


Minimum Registration

A minimum of 5 people are required to be registered for the workshop to commence. If less than 5 people have registered the event, the program will be cancelled and registrants will be notified via email.
